Scientific Day in Monastir on Renewable Energies

The National Agency for Energy Management (ANME), in collaboration with the National Engineering School of Monastir, organized a scientific day on renewable energies in Monastir on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

The event was attended by several representatives from the ANME, including:

  • Mr. Fathi Hamed, Regional Director of ANME for the Sahel region
  • Ms. Sana Kacem, Head of Department at the Solar Energy Directorate
  • Mr. Nabil Mansour, Technical Officer at the Energy Efficiency Directorate in the building sector
  • Ms. Amal Milad, Head of Department at the Regional Directorate in Sousse

Additionally, Ms. Hala Kerkeni presented the experience of the company DEMKO in the field of renewable energies.

    The scarcity of national natural resources along with the increase of energy demand leads Tunisia to initiate an energy transition process focusing on the increase of the share of renewable energies in the production of electricity in order to reach 12% by 2020 and 30% by 2030, in comparison to the current 3%. Indeed, the objective is to reach a renewable electric power of 3815 MW by 2030.
