On 14 December 2016, the National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME) won the 2016 UN-DESA Energy Grant Award, « ", with the SoFEM project. The ANME participated in the award ceremony, among 278 projects selected, to win a grant to finance future activities. The ceremony was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
