Award Ceremony for the Best Journalistic Work of the Year 2024

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) organized an award ceremony for the best journalistic work competition on the theme: "Rationalizing Energy Consumption and Promoting Renewable Energies for the Year 2024."

The event was held under the supervision of Ms. Fatma Thabet Chiboub, Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, in the presence of Mr. Wael Chouchane, Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Mr. Fathi Hanchi, General Director of the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME), along with several agency officials and the award-winning journalists. In her speech, Ms. Fatma Thabet Chiboub emphasized the importance of this competition, which primarily aims to establish a complementary and collaborative relationship with various national and regional media outlets. She also emphasized that the ministry, along with its affiliated institutions, places great importance on providing clear and accessible information to the media and the general public. She highlighted the essential role of journalists, who, through their expertise and commitment, contribute to simplifying and making the data related to energy transition and energy efficiency programs more understandable. The National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) has been overseeing the organization of this competition since 2008. This initiative aims to encourage journalists from various media outlets to enhance and improve their journalistic work. The goal is to enable them to specialize and acquire professional expertise in the field of energy management. This work has a positive impact on the quality and quantity of information provided to readers, listeners, and viewers. The evaluation committee for the journalistic works assessed the submissions based on both their format and content. The evaluation process was conducted according to the degree of compliance with the specified criteria and requirements.

The committee awarded five prizes to the following journalists :

  • Best Journalistic Report in Online Press (French language): Mohamed Khalil Jelassi, La Presse website.
  • Best Journalistic Report in Online Press (Arabic language): Mokhtar Ben Jedian, Tunis Afrique Presse Agency website.
  • Best Radio Program (Radio Programs Specialty): Karima Ben Youssef, Radio Monastir.
  • Best Television Work (Television Press Specialty): This award was presented jointly to Moufida Mejri and Sawsen Chahed, journalists at National Television.

It is worth noting that the awards in the categories of Printed Press, Arabic Language and Printed Press, French Language were not awarded this year.
